Task 2, Activity 3

Heathrow airport is to the west of London, close to the M25 and near the M4. It is situated near Langley, Horton, Hounslow, Stanwell and many many more. The location services that would be good to use is 'Location services LTD..' because they work in Egham and they just have to go down the M25 to get to Hearthrow Airport.

Task 2 Activity 2

I would recommend that we use the wet hire because you can get more for your money. You can also use many other things including lighting cameramen, camera assistants and sound recordists.

I think we should hire Richard Jeffs' because they specialize in documentaries and they have made many including one about Jade Goody, Naked Britain and Dishing the dirt. I also think that he has the right kind of equipment, and you know who the cameraman is going to be and he has his own vehicle for his equipment.

Dear Linsey,
I think we should hire Richard Jeffs he specializes in documentaries and he has him own equipment and his own studio space. He has done many documentaries such as Jade Goody, Naked Britain, for Sky1 and Dishing the Dirt for ITV1You can also use many other things including lighting cameramen, camera assistants and sound recordists.
Yours Sincerely
Jessica Curtis

Task 2 Activity 1

I think the Kemps website is for people who are in any part of the media industry and who want to hire things out for their business and are unsure what companies are out there. This is useful because instead of people trailing through loads of different websites they can just go to Kemps and all the information they need is on there.

Task 1, 3 sectors of the film industry

The Film Industry
The film industry is a core business that makes films that are designed to be seen in cinemas, on DVD, and on the T.V.
The cinema started in the 1890's and it was originally silent but in the early 1930's they started using sound. In the late 1930's colour came to the screens, then multiplex cinema's in the 1980's.
The cinema experience is unique because the size of the cinema screen is big and wherever you sit you can see perfectly, and you can always here the sound really well because of the surround sound.
Films are also ditributed not only in the cinema but also in DVD, TV broadcasting, internet downloads, sometimes mobile downloads. Sometimes, if the film is unsuccessful, the film goes straight to DVD even if it has not been released in the cinema.
A few of the major film producing companies are Warner, Universal, Sony pictures and many more.

T.V Industry
The T.V industry is a core business that makes programs that are designed to be seen in the home TV.
The television started in the 1930's, they were rare and expensive until the late 1960's when they became colour were there were only 3 channels until 1980's then digital in 2000's.
The television experience is unique because it's accessible, very cheap, easy to use and digital brings a vast choice.
